Comments: A good stop off on the way up north. Nice clean rooms with all the amenities. A good option if you are traveling and need a nights rest.

Comments: Owned and run by the Nelson Family since 1970s. Original and safe, en suite open huts build close to the beach with full self catering facilities and camping facilities aroud the "barracas ", thatched shelters with cement floors (4m x4m). Water and electric points for hire, large and clean ablution blocks.
Directions: Heading north on the EN1, the turn off to the Lodge is 10km after the entrance of Massinga town. 13km hard sand packed road will take you directly to Morrungulo Lodge (See Roads and Services for this sector).
Price Range: From $6 to $8 p/ night camping to $ 200 per night for a large family unit sleeping 8. (Discounts for children no charge for under 3yrs). Check terms and conditions for bookings with operator.
Types of Accommodation: Large self catering family units sleeping 8, beach front chalets or casitas sleeping 4, bungalows sleeping 2 and camping around 'barracas' (concreted floor shelters) with electric facilities (for hire) and running water. No credicard facilities available, no personal cheques accepted.

Comments: Own and run by Chris and Rosa Hill. Community focused Lodge situated at the top of the high dunes over looking the bay. The couple have created a small Cultural Centre for the support of local artists and history. They organise gatherings of local music and dance either at the lodge or in Massinga. Chris has a large knowledge of the area with regards to fauna and flora he can organise tours into the local villages and eco walks.
Directions: Heading North on the EN1, drive through Massinga. At the end of the town there are signs pointing to the turn off to the Lodge. Baobab Lodger is 13km along a nicely packed sand road (See Roads and Services for this sector).

Types of Accommodation: Simple, but very clean double rooms, sharing basic ablutions between 2 rooms.
Capacity: Small numbers.
Services: There is a nice and relaxed restaurant and bar on site, where you can order a true Mozambican banquet.
